30. Book fair in Istria

The 30th Book Fair in Istria will be held from November 29 to December 8, 2024 in the Home of Croatian Veterans, under the theme Mikrokosmos.

The Fair's thirty-year journey was marked by the constant interweaving of small identity 'continents' - Pula and Istria - and the big world, forming its own microcosm of the Pula Festival of Books and Authors. On this trail, through different program formats, literary meetings, round tables, exhibitions, cultural, gender, generational microcosms will be considered, and artists, philosophers, anthropologists, male and female writers will talk about creation, changes, essential determinants and mechanisms of their own worlds.

We are also celebrating the anniversary theme through the second edition of Histrokosmos, a small "fair within a fair" centered on Istria, which was created with the aim of gathering fragments of a dissolved cultural entity and finding new models for connecting true breakthroughs in culture, science, and art. On the Histrokosmos stage, the worlds of literature and wine, anthropology and fine arts, philosophy and sports will intertwine.

World-renowned authors, as well as new faces of the domestic, regional and European literary, philosophical and artistic scene, will perform in about a hundred different festival events intended for audiences of all ages, while this year again tens of thousands of titles will be exhibited at the Fair at particularly favorable prices. .
